As promised on my previous post, finally I updated SRS Blog with the new fresh look of my hometown's airport (Balikpapan, East Kalimantan). I was amazed with its new building and runway structure, replacing old structure when I arrived in Balikpapan Sepinggan (Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman) airport last April and the most important is Sepinggan airport has its own forest inside the building (you can see it from picture above), it's so unique because it truly represents Kalimantan/Borneo. So what now? let's have a tour to see what Balikpapan Sepinggan airport currently has in store.
Seriously as a citizen, I feel so proud. Sepinggan Airport is the 6th busiest airport in Indonesia and becomes the busiest airport in Kalimantan province with 7.1 million passenger traffic in 2013. There are so many retail & services outlets, convenience stores provided with a wide range of products at Balikpapan Sepinggan airport and I hope it’ll become like Singapore Changi airport soon not only for departing and arriving but also a best place for shopping and dining.

While I was waiting for the flight to Manado, I decided to go to Gogo Franks for buying some snacks and drinks inside the waiting room.
